Recently I have been reading more about managing multiple systems. One project I've heard good things about is Puppet.
Puppet lets you centrally manage every important aspect of your system using a cross-platform specification language that manages all the separate elements normally aggregated in different files, like users, cron jobs, and hosts, along with obviously discrete elements like packages, services, and files.I also know another common choice is Cfengine.
Cfengine is an automated suite of programs for configuring and maintaining Unix-like computers.After reading about each project, I am leaning towards trying Puppet.
